Here the puppies are learning to lick water from a hanging water bottle. Saves some of the mess of them playing in a water bowl.
Our puppies are named for the 3 Musketeers; 3 brown boys are Porthos, Aramis and Athos. D’Artagnan is the light color boy, Constance is the brown girl and Milady de Winter in the light girl.
Cuteness keeps us entertained.
Ori had never been to a boarding facility, or ever been groomed by anyone but me. The place she stayed while we vacationed in Europe said they give the dogs baths before we return. I guess they decided Ori needed to see better and they shaved the hair on the bridge of her nose. That is a poodle trim, but a Lagotto should not have that hair shaved off.
This is how Ori waits for us to return from our vacation trip. She has her own way of relaxing while her puppies are developing.
We did an ultrasound to confirm Ori’s pregnancy. So happy to announce the litter should arrive around Mar. 7 – 10. Our vet didn’t save any images but I am posting one from an earlier litter that looks like what we saw.
If you get to the end of this post, you will see photos of past litters of darling babies.
Here is a good article from AKC about how breeders screen potential buyers. While I don’t totally agree with everything in this page, it shows the amount of care a good breeder takes to find the best family for the best puppy.

Sadly, I had hoped to breed a litter in a couple months, but my girl came into season 2 months early and I didn’t have her testing completed, so plans have been changed and the timing will be close to the end of the year. I keep a list of names, and once I know I am about to breed, I make contact with the inquiries again to see if you are still interested. I don’t collect deposits until I know I can promise you a puppy, but I will update you on your chances of getting one of my puppies. I can sometimes suggest a club breeder that might be taking names, as well. So here are images of past puppies:
We had hopes of breeding Giuditta this summer but she came into season 2 months earlier than expected. We had not completed her hip/eye/ and DNA testing, so we could not breed her. Hopefully she will come into season again before the end of the year and we can plan a litter. The sire we have chosen for her is a wonderful boy named Barbelo whom we have used with some of our other girls with great success. Check Giuditta’s page to see updates on her health testing as we complete them.
